Honest, playful
and deeply human.
I’m Niamh Cockhill—a London-based actor, DJ, filmmaker, model and mental health advocate.
At the heart of everything I do is storytelling. Whether I’m performing on screen, developing a film, creating content or playing a drum & bass set, I love making people feel something: joy, connection, freedom, hope—or simply the feeling of being understood.
My experience of living with bipolar disorder has deeply influenced the stories I want to tell. I created What Goes Up, writing the story, executive producing and playing the lead role. I’m now writing my first feature film, Still Here.
On TikTok, I share my creative journey, life with bipolar disorder and the joyful moments along the way. I want my platform to challenge stigma, offer hope and show that a diagnosis does not define the possibilities of someone’s future.
01 · Acting
Emotionally honest stories.
I’m a London-based actor drawn to emotionally honest stories. I bring vulnerability to each role, with a particular interest in work exploring identity, relationships and mental health.
I created What Goes Up, writing the story, executive producing and playing the lead role in the film. Inspired by my own experiences with mental health, the award-winning short film explores the realities of living with bipolar disorder.
I’m currently writing Still Here, a new project inspired by lived experience and focused on resilience, identity and the complexities of mental health.

I create stories rooted in lived experience, emotional honesty and hope. My filmmaking explores mental health without reducing people to their diagnoses, focusing instead on the complex, human lives behind them.
Award-winning short film
What Goes Up
Created from my own lived experience, What Goes Up explores the realities of bipolar disorder through Ava, a young woman who stops taking her medication and begins to lose control of the life around her.
I created the film, wrote the story, executive produced and played the lead role.

Still Here
Still Here is a new feature film inspired by lived experience and centred on resilience, identity and the complexities of mental health.
Through an honest but ultimately hopeful story, the film explores what it means to keep choosing life, find connection and begin imagining a future you once believed was impossible.

Emotion. Energy. Release.
I’m a London-based drum & bass DJ with a love for melodic and liquid sounds as well as high-energy sets.
For me, DJing is about creating a journey—moving between emotion, energy and release while building a genuine connection with the people listening.
I share my mixes and developing DJ journey on TikTok, bringing my personality and love of drum & bass into every video.
I made my live DJ debut at Sirius Vibes Only in London in August 2026, performing a melodic drum & bass set during the event before returning with a higher-energy set for the after-party.

I’m a London-based model with a natural, expressive style and experience across portrait, commercial and editorial photography.

05 · Mental health advocacy
Hope is part of the story.
I use my voice and lived experience to challenge stigma around bipolar disorder and show that a meaningful, joyful future is possible after even the darkest periods of life.
I have shared my story through a BBC News TikTok feature and as Bipolar UK’s special guest for a World Mental Health Day Instagram Live, where I discussed finding support before and after diagnosis and the creation of What Goes Up.
Through my films, social media and future advocacy work, I hope to make people feel less alone and encourage more honest, compassionate conversations about mental health.
